Welcome to the senior rugby section
We are currently running four teams on a Saturday, all of which are playing in a league. The 1st team are in National 3 North, for the third consecutive year, reaching 2nd place at the end of last season. The second team are in Bateman BMW Premiere league where they finished 7th and the Third team won the Millers Home league. We also run a vets side for any aspiring over 35s.
Being on the door step of North Wales and the club being positioned at the end of the M53 we attract a lot of players at our excellent facilities, which boast one of the best pitches in the northwest and with the recently finished changing room extension it now has the complete package.
Training takes place twice a week at the club on a Tuesday and a Thursday evening starting at 7:00pm, (under flood lights in the winter months) training is open to every one of all abilities.
We have a dedicated ambitious coaching staff, all bringing with them certain expertise and responsibilities which are available to all the players. During the season we will arrange to have guest coaches, in the past these have included Pete Anglesey and Neil Briggs of Sale Sharks. The club also provides two physiotherapists and can assist in providing help to see specialists if required.
Our main aim is to gain promotion, and to develop all our players to fulfil their potential, especially to nurture our home grown talent that has come through our junior section. Anyone interested in playing for the club at any level are most welcome, please contact myself on 07867506233.
